No-deal Bill makes way through lords towards Royal Assent

Boris Johnson in the House of Commons

The Bill proposed by Hilary Benn and others to make Boris Johnson seek a Brexit deal and make sure MPs have a voice on no-deal is passing through the House of Lords, with the government saying that it will go through completely tomorrow. With Labour abstaining on a General Election, for the moment at least, Johnson is currently stuck. Many expect, however, that Labour will eventually switch their support to the government’s motion since it has been their most public and least ambiguous plea for the last two years or so.
