Boris Johnson is ‘considering’ holding an early election as if plans to outlaw a no-deal Brexit get voted through in Parliament. With Tory rebels being threatened with potential deselection from the party unless they conform, the PM is seeking to go ahead with a poll that could somehow present him, the old-Etonian, Oxbridge-to-Fleet-Street son of an MEP, as a man of the people, in tune with the wishes of bricklayers from Walsall.
