Jeremy Hunt and Boris Johnson went face to face on ITV tonight in a debate on the Tory leadership, with the differences over Brexit and the lack of honesty taking centre stage. Johnson, as always, did not answer any of the question posed to him by his opponent, on Brexit, the case of Nazanin Zagari-Ratcliffe or the US Ambassador row. It made for strange television, with neither candidates making a strong lead, although the heady optimism of Johnson and the evident pragmatism of Hunt were the main points to take away.
