Jeremy Hunt has urged Boris Johnson to be ‘straight with people’ about the impacts of a no-deal Brexit as the front-runner gave out clues of his plan for a no-deal scenario. With Sajid Javid expected to beat Matt Hancock to the role of Chancellor, an emergency budget could be called in the event of a no-deal, with large tax cuts and a fall in stamp duty. He is cautious but optimistic about the prospect of a no-deal, whereas Hunt is urging him to reveal the full consequences.
