Keir Starmer warns of need for ‘confirmatory’ second referendum in Brexit deal

The Shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer has said that any Labour-government Brexit agreement is “unlikely” to pass the Commons unless a second referendum pledge is included. Speaking to the Guardian, he said that bad results at the local elections had given a sense that the Remainer base may be switching over to the Lib Dems or Change UK, with Tony Blair yesterday urgingĀ  voters to go for the those two other parties.

They may both be right, Gerry says regretfully…
