Jeremy Corby has struck a blow to his Deputy Leader Tom Watson and the majority of his party membership by getting the Labour National Executive Committee to keep a second referendum policy ‘an option’, with a general election still the main hope. This comes despite labour losing a vote of no-confidence in the government recently. The new statement issued yesterday said that the agreement was ‘fully in line’ with Labour’s existing policy of pursuing heaven and earth instead of supporting a second referendum.
