Jeremy Corbyn is now fourteen MPs down as Ian Austin has quit, but refused to join the new Independent Group. The MP for Dudey North said that he was leaving because of the party’s toleration for anti-Semitism, not over the Brexit strategy. He has not joined the Independent Group because he is committed to delivering on the 2016 referendum result, unlike the fiercely anti-Brexit campaigners who have formed the new group.
