Sam Gyimah resigns as Universities and Science Minister

Sam Gyimah has resigned his junior ministerial post as Universities and Science Minister, citing his fears of the Brexit deal, although he rather confusingly does not rule out  a second referendum as a  potentially positive outcome. Gyimah, a graduate of Somerville College, Oxford, has been seen as a rising star in the party, and his resignation comes as rather a shock.

Another one quits their ministerial position over ‘principle.’ Why don’t they just get on with the job in hand instead of shacking up departments and making headlines, Gerry inquires?
