Theresa May’s government is either just about to fall or survive. There is no victory, only survival, although the latter may be seen in the light of the former. Theresa May, just like Margaret Thatcher in 1990,has called her Cabinet members on-by-one to consult them on the withdrawal agreement with the EU. She seems to have survived that. PMQs this lunch time was not an enjoyable experience, with Peter Bone ravaging her. The Cabinet meeting this afternoon will be the pivotal moment. The future of the government and perhaps the country rests on the shoulders of those sit on the green, strangely shaped table in No10 at 2pm today.
