This week sees yet another ‘crunch’ Brexit summit, as Theresa May attempts once more to sell her Chequers proposal after being given ‘one last chance’ by her senior ministers. As Parliament returns from Conference, we are set to see a number of new bills to be voted on, which could quite easily deeply threaten the government’s position. With most ministers hiding their specific grievances and calling for ‘party unity’ last week in Birmingham, rebels are expected to come out in force over the autumn period.
