Big news coming today from the Beeb as Evan Davis has moved from Newsnight to PM, replacing Eddie Mair. This comes after other presenters, such as Amol Rajan, the media editor, had to deny that they were close to the job. There is fear that Newsnight may be lost soon, so Evan taking this job could be seen as a safe move for the long term.
